Established in 1140, this Premonstratensian monastery includes the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary church, the remarkable Strahov Library boasting medieval manuscripts, maps, and globes, the elegant Baroque Theological Hall, the splendid Classical Philosophy Hall adorned with frescoes, and the renowned Strahov Gallery, housing a noteworthy collection of Gothic, Rudolfian, Baroque, and Rococo paintings from Central Europe.
